Texas Veterans Network (TVN) serves all military members, to include active duty, retirees, veterans, guards, and reserves and their families. Members living in the Alamo Area (Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, McMullen, Medina, and Wilson counties), the Coastal Bend region (Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Duval, Jim Wells, Live Oak, Kenedy, Kleberg, Nueces, Refugio, and San Patricio counties) and in the Laredo region (Jim Hogg, Webb, and Zapata counties) can all join the network.
The Texas Veterans Network (TVN) has been providing service in the San Antonio area since June 2017 and their coordination center team consists of veterans and military spouses. The TVN team receives requests online and by phone (toll-free # 888-SA4-VETS or 888-724-8387) from service members, veterans, and their families across their service regions looking for community based programs and resources. TVN works with these clients to understand their needs and make referrals into the community on the client’s behalf. This initiative creates a coordinated online network of over 130 public, private, and nonprofit organizations serving service members, veterans, and their families across their service regions. The TVN is a valued part of Unite Texas, a statewide network of health and social care providers.
The Texas Veterans Network (TVN) is currently funded by the Texas Workforce Commission. It also receives in-kind contributions from its other partners, Unite Us, the Alamo Area Council of Governments, Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend, and Laredo College. We’re also an affiliate member of the AmericaServes Network.
